We are excited to host the 2nd Annual Day on the Bizz, a unique outdoor learning experience for Lassen County 6th-grade students!
This one-day event will take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. along the scenic Bizz Johnson Trail, beginning at Hobo Camp off South Street in Susanville.
Students will participate in a variety of engaging, hands-on activities designed to connect them with nature and local ecosystems, including:
- Trail Presentation
- Nature Walk
- Wildlife Presentation
- Invasive Plant Hunt
- Hobo Camp “Hunger Games” activity
Who Can Attend:
All Lassen County 6th-grade students are invited to participate.

Important Information:
- Students and chaperones must bring a sack lunch
- Closed-toe shoes and appropriate outdoor attire are required
- Due to the nature of the trail and limited space, siblings and strollers are not permitted
