Day on the Bizz

Flyer for “6th Grade Day on the Bizz Johnson” happening May 21, 2026, for all Lassen County 6th graders. The event includes outdoor activities from 9:30 AM to 12:05 PM such as a trail presentation, nature walk, Hobo Camp Hunger Games, wildlife presentation, and invasive plant hunt. Students are reminded to wear closed-toe shoes and appropriate trail attire. Lunch is from 12:05 PM to 12:30 PM, with students bringing a sack lunch and dismissal afterward. The design features a scenic trail background, trees, a sun graphic, and directional signs pointing to Susanville and Westwood.

2nd Annual Day on the Bizz – 6th Grade Outdoor Learning Event

We are excited to host the 2nd Annual Day on the Bizz, a unique outdoor learning experience for Lassen County 6th-grade students!
 
This one-day event will take place on Wednesday, May 21, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. along the scenic Bizz Johnson Trail, beginning at Hobo Camp off South Street in Susanville.
 
Students will participate in a variety of engaging, hands-on activities designed to connect them with nature and local ecosystems, including:
  • Trail Presentation
  • Nature Walk
  • Wildlife Presentation
  • Invasive Plant Hunt
  • Hobo Camp “Hunger Games” activity
 
Who Can Attend:
All Lassen County 6th-grade students are invited to participate.
Important Information:
  • Students and chaperones must bring a sack lunch
  • Closed-toe shoes and appropriate outdoor attire are required
  • Due to the nature of the trail and limited space, siblings and strollers are not permitted
