LCOE Hosts an unforgettable 2025 sober graduation

On Friday, June 6th, the Lassen County Office of Education (LCOE) proudly hosted the 2025 Lassen County Sober Graduation, a high-energy, fun-filled celebration designed to provide a safe, sober, and memorable send-off for graduating seniors from across the county.

With more than 100 seniors in attendance, this year’s event was packed with excitement—from Nerf wars and laser tag to tricycle races and zombie tag, the night was full of laughter, games, and unforgettable moments. Seniors enjoyed a safe space to celebrate their accomplishments alongside friends, classmates, and caring adults from their community.

Thanks to the incredible support of local sponsors, LCOE awarded over $16,000 in prizes, culminating in the grand prize giveaway, a Subaru Impreza donated by Wheels West. The energy and generosity of the evening truly reflected the community’s commitment to celebrating and protecting its youth.

“We are incredibly grateful to all of our sponsors, staff, and volunteers who helped make this evening possible,” said Lassen County Superintendent of Schools, Patricia Gunderson. “It’s inspiring to see the community come together to support these students as they begin a new chapter in their lives.”

The Lassen County Office of Education extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2025 and wishes each graduate success, joy, and safety as they move forward into their futures.
