2026 YOu Matter Conference - January 20-23, 2026

The Lassen County Office of Education (LCOE) is excited to announce the 2026 You Matter Conference, taking place January 20–23, 2026, for Lassen County middle and high school students. This year’s theme, “The Game of Life: Wellness Edition,” invites students to explore the choices, connections, and strategies that support lifelong well-being.

Designed to educate, inspire, and empower students, the conference focuses on building healthy habits, strengthening relationships, and encouraging positive decision-making as students navigate both personal and academic challenges. Through an engaging, interactive approach, students will learn that every choice matters and that they matter, too.

The conference will feature Blake Fly and Kevin Bracey, two nationally recognized speakers known for their impactful, relatable, and high-energy presentations. Together, they will share powerful messages centered on resilience, self-worth, mental wellness, and the importance of connection, encouraging students to reflect on their role in shaping their own life paths.

“This conference is an opportunity for students to pause, reflect, and recognize their value,” said Patricia Gunderson, Lassen County Superintendent of Schools. “By focusing on wellness and empowerment, we hope to equip students with tools they can carry with them throughout their lives.”

LCOE staff are working closely with Lassen County schools to ensure students receive information about the You Matter Conference.
