CARE TEAMS
Lassen County Office of Education’s Care Teams provide individualized, wraparound support for students and families facing challenges that impact school success. Each Care Team is made up of trained professionals who work directly with schools and families to identify and address academic, social, emotional, and environmental barriers to learning.
By partnering with school staff and community resources, Care Teams help bridge gaps and build pathways to wellness, engagement, and achievement.
Key Services Provided by Care Teams:

Personalized support plans tailored to each student’s needs

Assistance in navigating mental health, attendance, or academic concerns

Connection to additional LCOE services, including:

Depression Awareness education (grades 6–12)

Classroom restorative practice coaching

Suicide prevention plan support

Trauma-informed practices training
-
Foster and homeless youth educational services

Human trafficking prevention education (PROTECT)

Collaborative problem-solving with families, educators, and service providers
Care Teams are central to creating safe, supportive, and equitable learning environments across Lassen County, and they play a vital role in the broader mental health and wellness efforts supported by the LCOE Wellness Center.
